Notes: The doubling formula is important here. A 1% Growth Rate means a population will double  in 70 years. A -1% Growth Rate would indicate a population halving in 70 years. A 2% Growth Rate would double in 35 years, etc.  

  With a .87% natural growth rate, Mormons have enough children to double their white population in 75 to 100 years. The Amish population has doubled in the last fifty years, so they have about a 1.5% growth rate. 

  It would be interesting to measure and compare Amish/Mormon sperm counts and testosterone versus white urban bug men.  It could be sunlight - Utah is a sunny state, and the Amish men work outdoors generally. It could be culture.
